Harlequin Arts Academy offers affordable, quality dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, Jazz, Streetdance, GCSE and A Level Dance. Children are accepted from 2 years of age and classes range up to adult levels. We also have many boys who attend dance classes. We also offer parent and toddler dance classes for children and their parents to enjoy together!
Unlike many other dance schools, we try and work with smaller class sizes, this means that your child is getting the attention they deserve and more importantly what you are paying for! Most classes are limited to 12 students. We find that by working with smaller groups our students are able to progress more. Our exam results speak for themselves!Many people are led to believe that the more people in a class, the better the school must be. Unfortunately large classes do not allow for adequate corrections which are an important part of the learning process, students cannot use the space well as they are too squashed. We aim for quality rather than quantity.
We have classes to suit all ages and abilities and beginners are always welcome. Private lessons are also available on request.
All classes are taught in large spacious studios, with a separate drama studio, changing rooms and toilet facilities. The Dance studio is equipped with fixed barres and mirrors and has a sprung wooden floor. There is a car park to the rear of the studios. Academy staff also teach classes at private day nurseries and after school clubs. The academy is a registered AQA examination centre which means we are able to enter pupils for GCSE and A Level dance courses.

Performances are done every year at Romiley Forum and all proceeds are given to charity. Over the past few years we have raised over £5000 for the Myasthenia Gravis Association. Exam sessions are held three times a year.
