Harlequin Arts Academy offers affordable, quality dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, Jazz, Streetdance, ZUMBA, GCSE and A Level Dance. Children are accepted from 2 years of age and classes range up to adult levels. We have many boys who attend dance classes. We also offer parent and toddler dance classes for children and their parents to enjoy together!
We have classes to suit all ages and abilities and beginners are always welcome. Private lessons are also available on request. From the age of 5 students are able to take dance examinations with the ISTD and RAD, both of these dance organisations are recognised by the CDET. This means that the dance exams are recognised qualifications and are placed on the national qualifications framework, approved by OFQUAL. From grade 6 upwards, exams can be used towards secondary school diplomas and UCAS points. It also means that teachers have had to pass rigourous exams in order to teach.
All classes are taught in large spacious premises, with 2 dance studios, changing rooms and toilet facilities. The main dance studio is equipped with fixed barres and mirrors and has a sprung wooden floor. Academy staff also teach classes at private day nurseries and after school clubs. The academy is a registered AQA examination centre which means we are able to enter pupils for GCSE and A Level dance courses.

Performances are done every year at Romiley Forum and all classes are given the opportunity to perform. Exam sessions are held three times a year.
